Something about his dark mood grabs her, and the kiss ignites a passion within her she didn’t know she had. This is the day everything Tessa knew as normal comes shattering down around her.

Readers thoughts on this…

“After by Anna Todd rendered me SPEECHLESS for the first time ever after finishing a book. I was left in a DAZE, my mind SPINNING. My heart pounded fast like drums in my chest. I was struck so hard by this TORNADO of a TALE that twisted and turned my heart so many times that I could barely breathe. After removed me from everything where I did nothing but LIVE this book.”

After, this EXHILARATION in words, made me feel ALIVE.”

These seem like some really interesting reads from your description at least. I have watched a couple of them on Netlix as series’/films however it would be good to see how the story might be changed slightly in the book, as that is often the case. And I will need to check out a couple of the ones which I have never seen or heard of before too. Thanks for a great review.

  • Jay

All the listed books are worth reading. But I think the one that has caught my attention the most is 13 reasons why. It does seem like a book that would have a lot of suspense from the short preview of the book. I am pretty excited about it and cannot wait to read it.

  • Matt's Mom

This is a great review for me of books.  I have been in a rut reading the same author.  And what I have found is that all of her books, really sound the same, and basically say the same thing in just a variety of story line.  I have become bored and have quit reading. I am ready to start again, as I do love to read.  I am going to look over your selections again, and pick out a couple that are totally different than what I have been reading.  I am thinking this will get me out of my non-reading rut.

    • Jayde Butcher

great idea, yeah sometimes its good to try a few different authors as you might find a few you love, every author has a different unique writing style. Happy reading I hope you pick one you enjoy 🙂

Hi Jayde, great article and thanks for some great books to choose from!

Out of these books listed in your top 10 best books of 2018 i have read the girl on the train. It was a brilliant read and i was gripped from the start to finish. I must say that in my opinion the movie was nowhere near as good as the book!

  • Celeste

    Hi Jayde,

A few of these books have been on my list to read for a while now. I have been meaning to read girl on the train for over a year now but just haven’t got round to it yet, but your review has made me think that I should probably start reading it tonight so thank you. I also hadn’t realised that there was a 13 reasons why novel, I have seen the series on Netflix so I am interested in reading this book. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂

    Hello,

I have always found it such a challenge to select good quality novels as in-depth and honest reviews are hard to come by. The picks in this list are certainly extensive and appealing for the avid reader.

Can you confirm that these are available as Ebooks? I personally have found books far better than the movies which derive their basis from the books as the books provide far better detail and often more coherent story lines.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Oh I’m so glad I stumbled on this list. I am looking for a new good book to read! I am immediately drawn to “You Belong to Me.” I love a good murder mystery. I see in your personal review you gave it 5 stars. That sounds like a winner to me!

For any of your reader who haven’t read “Girl on a Train”, I loved, loved, loved that one. It was so intriguing and twisty-turny right until the end.

I can’t wait to take a look at some of your other book choices, but for now, I am going to go for “You Belong to Me.” Thank you for the ideas!!

Ahh perfect timing with your Top 10 listing!  With the holiday season upon us, I’d be keen to check out some of these titles for some much needed relaxation.

Are these your top ten for the same genre or across all the genres?

I see you have Top 10 for thrillers – definitely my field of interest.  I’ll be bookmarking your site for future reference as I compile my holiday reading list.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • Ray

I like to read articles that list the best personal choices, as they tend to have something in the list that you haven’t previously noticed. There are a few titles here that I haven’t seen before, and although the books aren’t really in a genre that I would normally choose, your short reviews make them very appealing nonetheless.

Girl On The Train is the only one I have read, but there are a few more in the list that caught my eye. Thanks for the article.

  • John

Thanks for your selection of books to review. I have been looking for a good read over the holidays so this review has been helpful. I have just finished a book and I am looking for a good thriller. Glass Houses looks like it could fit the bill. Would this be your choice of thriller novel to read or would you suggest something else?

Of the 10 best books that we show, I choose Karen Rose’s for the fascinating mystery she has.

You have a wide range of books which is very good. Unfortunately, I am an old school guy and I did lots of novel reading in late 70’s while in high school,  My main category was suspense novels. I enjoyed reading books by a british writer, James Hardley Chase. These are novels from the 60’s!

Now I am not young anymore I read more of motivational books. I am not familiar with the books you have here but my daughter has read some of the books and knows some of the writers on the top 10 list.

I see you have audible app which I can say that s what I have now. I Just download in my phone an start reading. I would love to read more on motivation.

    Thank you

There are a number of great reads in this list particularly Girl on the Train. i found the books especially engaging and can suggest that this be placed on everyone’s next read list. There have been a number of Netflix films made based on some of these books however I have always been disappointed by the films and prefer the books.

Have you had a similar experience?

This website is the house of books for sure.I like books which includes love stories and horristic ones. When I am alone at home I prefer to read a book instead of watching tv because reading a book makes me enjoy the story without disturbance of my family members.

I have read Until Friday Night but I was a bit disturbed its content because it recalled me my high school life as I was forbidden to fall in love due to my religion.

I like such stories for sure.
