Fact: Did you know, over its lifespan, your sofa will witness roughly 293 arguments and 1,369 cuddles?

Hiya, my names Scarlett Moffatt and I love random facts. Almost as much as I love sitting on me sofa. You might know me best for my most famous and celebrated sit thus far on I’m A Celebrity throne. You might also know me from all sorts of other seats, most especially Gogglebox sofa. Well, this book is an attempt at telling me life story through a whole series of them!

I want you to get comfy and get ready to laugh, cry and maybe even learn a bit, as I chat to you about of the highs and lows of me life. So grab a brew, settle down, and let’s start from the very beginning…

I gave this 4 stars

My Thoughts

I always wondered if all celebs had a deep dark story behind who they are, but Scarlett has shown me that isn’t true, she’s just a normal, down to earth girl who was thrown into the TV lifestyle by accident. But it’s an accident she doesn’t regret at all because of where that has led her.

Scarlett is such a genuine, normal girl and you really get to see this while you read this book. She made me laugh a good few times through this book but also made me realize that not all celebrities are big headed and love the limelight. You get to see how she really got to become on gogglebox, and how gogglebox started up her career, getting her to where she is today!

Why I Enjoyed This Read

I love Scarlett, so I really enjoyed getting to hear about her life journey, and learn who she really is and where she comes from. We got to hear about her family too which I thought was nice, as she wasn’t just talking about herself, they are part of her life and journey too.

I loved the little funny random facts she feeds us with at the beginning of each chapter, things you would never learn anywhere else.

Hearing all about her jungle experience and her career after was so much fun, I felt like I was living it with her. She’s achieved so much in such short amount of time.

The pictures added in throughout the book are a great touch, we get to see all the exciting things she’s done, and the great big profile stars she’s met through her career progression.

Who Would Enjoy This Read

Anyone who loves Scarlett, you’ll love this down to earth book, but also if you are someone who has just seen her on TV and you’re curious about who she is, this book is perfect.

Overall Thoughts

I was expecting it to be a bit more funny, but it still made me smile and giggle at times. Scarlett is someone who I would love to call my friend, she’s so lovely and normal and I have a good feeling she’ll stay that way for life, it’s who she is.

If I had to sum this up in 3 words, it would be – funny, witty and down to earth.

Readers thoughts on this…

“Like she’s sitting at your kitchen table sipping a cuppa.” – Heat Magazine.

“But this autobiography is everything I thought it would be, and Scarlett makes me so proud to be a northern lass who lives in Bishop Auckland. There are quotes in here I can personally relate to, and know exactly where she’s coming from, because, really, I live in the same town as her. Two streets away, to be exact.”

Beyond the autor, It gives more information author’s environment, religion life, business and family. If you want to know a particular location, read biography of anyone living in such place. If I recommend book to you, would read and review it?

I have heard of Scarlett Moffatt on many occasions before – usually my partner brings her name up when she is reading through her mags etc. But, I wasn’t aware she was one of the winners on I’m A Celebrity (was this the UK version?).

Anyway, sounds like an interesting character and a ‘real’ person behind the celeb status for once – would be interesting to read more about her…

As much as I do enjoy book reviews, I think the way they are presented by the reviewer is also as effective as reading the book. Your review about Scarlet really does the trick. The way you projected the book into your reader’s minds is superb. And funny, you know I have never come across such fact about Sofas. You rock. Great writeup, really helpful.
