Book Review For Glass Houses

Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmare dorm situation. So when she heads off campus, the imposing old house where she finds a spare room might not be much better.

Her new roommates don’t show any sign of life, but they have Claire’s back when the town’s deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood. Will she be able to face the town’s terror or will she drown like everyone else?

Rating

I gave this 5 stars.

My Thoughts

I do love a vampire story, this one has the psycho type and that makes it exciting.

Why I Enjoyed This Read

I liked watching the relationship between Claire and Shane develope. There’s romance in this story but it’s not in your face and it doesn’t take over the whole book, it’s not the main plot. I’m a sucker for a romance, (ha see what I did there) but this had just the right amount.

Who Would Enjoy This Read

if you are someone who is looking for an action packed vampire/ghost story with a couple of hot roommates then you better start reading.

Overall Thoughts

The characters are likable which is always good, and there’s a beautiful friendship developing with them all. The ending was a massive shocking cliffhanger, and I just had to get the next book to find out what happens next!

I’m a bog fan of gothic-type horror books and that includes vampires (one of the most romantic and seductive cryptozoology creatures there is!).

The only problem I find is that over the last decade or so, the vampire has slightly been watered down from a fierce creature into something new…and I blame the Twilight saga!

Is this book a little more realistic than the Stephenie Meyer series of Bella and Edward Cullen?

It’s a very long time since I read horror books. I really loved it when I used to read it at the library. It really allows your imagination to expand and experience the whole story. It’s amazing! Reading this review about this post, I am thinking of purchasing this horror book and getting into the routine of reading horror books. Thanks for pointing the way for me Rachel.

This book sounds cool. It has got to be less complicated than twilight right? I think sci fi books like these are great because brilliant story telling and a decent imagination can really entertain you for hours. I think that vampires should be seen as terrifying creatures as they are in mythology, but it is always to see them interacting like humans as

    opposed to bloodthirsty monsters.
