Chase Walker used to be a good kid, charming, athletic, with a bright future ahead of him, but that was before a travesty struck his life, sinking him into a dark place. Caught up in a life of drugs, and drink, he doesn’t notice time slipping away, until he’s arrested one night for underage drinking.
His mum gets fed up with watching him destroy his own life, so she moves him to a small ranch to live with his ex-military granddad.
He is far from happy about it, until he meets Nikki, a cute cheerleader who wouldn’t give a footballer like him the time of day, He loves the challenge.
He soon realizes she’s more than just a pretty face.
I gave this 4 stars
I was so gripped from the very beginning. Watching everything Chase went through was heartbreaking so I was so happy to see him move away and start to get his life back on track. I felt for her.
Why I Enjoyed This Read
I’m such a sucker for a boy chasing a girl, so I loved the story between Chase and Nikki. I enjoyed it being in Chase’s POV because we could connect with his emotions and thoughts a lot more.

If you are looking for a gripping, emotional storyline, with an exciting romance storyline than this book is perfect for you.
The feelings and emotions I felt as I was reading this story, reminded me why I love to read books like this. Lacey Weatherford is an incredible Author, she makes it easy for the readers to feel emotions of all kind throughout the book. It was a massive emotional roller coaster, I laughed, cried, smiled, and I was an overall mess, all over the place. There is so much more to this book than meets the eye.
