Book Review For After

Tessa is a good girl, with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother whose intent on keeping her that way.

But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into her roommates friend, Hardin. With his troubled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.

But he’s also rude, into the point of cruelty really. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate him, and she does, until she finds herself alone with him in his bedroom. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and the kiss ignites a passion within her she didn’t know she had.

My Thoughts

Where do I begin with this story, I love it. It’s everything I look for in a young adult romance book. It has sex, romance, love, hate and lots of juicy drama, enough to keep your head spinning from all the dramatic mood changes. One boy really can turn your whole world upside down, and this book is a good example of that.

Why I Enjoyed This Read

I loved Tessa as a character, she’s sweet but knows how to stick up for herself when she needs to.

I myself write fan fiction on Watt pad, so Anna Todd is my inspiration and she is the reason I am getting my books published onto amazon myself. I hope mine are half as good as this book.

Who Would Enjoy This Read

Anyone looking for a juicy, I love you, I hate you, world win love story.

Overall Thoughts

My favorite book i’ve read so far this year. The ending tore my heart into pieces and im so excited to read the next book, but im actually nervous for the characters.

Tess’s story is as much one of a strong woman who stands up for her beliefs as it is a romance. The combination of the two shows that it is possible to be both loving/nurturing and  strong. I love the balance that Anna Todd gives to Tess and the other characters are just the right blend of “real” and yet she allows you to fill in some spaces to make the characters seem a little more real based on the reader’s imagination.

It’s also what I like to term a “smooth read”. One section seems to flow right into the next. It’s the quality of a book that prevents the reader from wanting to put it down. Anna Todd is a great writer if you enjoy romances and I concur with Ms. Butcher that this is a must have for your library.

Another wonderful book review from you – you really have managed to introduce me to some interesting titles over the last few weeks!

This one sounds like it’s a bit too ‘girly’ for my tastes but you have peaked my interest by suggesting it has shocking ending. No spoilers – but would I be right in thinking so?

Oooh, I love reading.  Sounds like a page turner.  Tessa sounds like she’s got spunk.  I love underrated characters and an unexpected romance to boot.  Hardin sounds like the unexpected hero that’s been waiting for something/someone to give a damn about.

I’ve added this book to my list of “books to read” LOL yes I have a list.

    Looking forward to your book.

To be honest, I’m a big fan of Romance and this book looks like the best fit for me. The synopsis is interesting and you’ve also mentioned the book has juice drama (that’s what I need). I really can’t wait to try this book as you’ve given it 5 stars.

I have a kindle tab so I don’t wanna waste money on shipping charges and all that stuff so is it possible to download it on Kindle?

Thank you for this review. Good Job!

I can picture the young lady’s reaction when she met the cruel guy. The fierce hate, resentment for him. Then imagine falling passionately and helplessly. It sure would cause a lot of confusion for both characters.

A lot of dramatic and captivating episodes between them in the school environment. This would make for a great read.
